ZUG, SWITZERLAND (PRWEB) FEBRUARY 14, 2018 — RightMesh announces development of meshIM, a mesh-enabled mobile messaging application. Using meshIM, the RightMesh team seeks to expand the mesh networking platform to communities, students, and individuals without connectivity.

“We are excited to see the vision of our mesh network brought to life through this application,” says CEO John Lyotier. “Motivated by our goals to increase global connectivity, we believe meshIM truly showcases the strength and importance of local connectivity by eliminating the need for third-party providers when directly messaging peers.”

Developed via the formation of ad-hoc wireless mesh networks, meshIM is currently in its Alpha stage. The meshIM messaging application integrates the RMESH token protocol (currently on Ethereum’s Kovan testnet), successfully demonstrating the buying and selling of data through the network and messaging between two local meshes. When there is a lack of internet or cell service, the meshIM application lets users send messages directly to their peers, or if recipients are a bit farther away, send messages via other phones in between.

From communities with a lack of connectivity infrastructure provided by traditional internet providers, to populations suffering from natural disasters and censorship, to local schools and college campuses restricting student access to internet-based messaging platforms, the implementation of meshIM can help increase connectivity of a large number of people who will now be able to message one another without using the internet.
