Business Development

Colombia is a market of high interest to our team due to its government initiatives to improve digital literacy and the desire of the population to get online. Despite this support, significant obstacles to access remain such as the high cost of connectivity and limited infrastructure in rural areas. RightMesh, we believe, can provide a more accessible solution for those being left behind in the digital divide.

As such, over the past few months we have been conducting many discussions with potential partners in Colombia. This week, RightMesh CEO, John Lyotier, and our Latin America Consultant, Damaris Valero, traveled to Colombia to further these conversations. The meetings were productive and we’re continuing research to develop potential pilot strategies to help connect the people of Colombia.

Community Foundations Conference

More than 800 philanthropic and community leaders from around the world came together in Victoria, BC, to host discussions on how to create more sustainable, healthier, and resilient communities at the Community Foundations Conference.

RightMesh CPO, Saju Abraham, presented on ‘Blockchain: Beyond finance to social change in communities’ alongside Michael Dingle, the National Technology Sector Leader at

and Melanie Thomas, the Senior Director of Emerging Opportunities at Community Foundations of Canada. The panel discussed blockchain use cases from Canada and around the world to provide the audience with a deeper understanding of the opportunities associated with the technology and the potential alignment it has with agendas like the Sustainable Development Goals.

MetaBridge

Representing the RightMesh parent company Left, Co-Founders,

and , traveled to the Okanagan Valley in BC, Canada to attend Metabridge. The conference brings together a community of mentors, seasoned entrepreneurs and investors who support Canadian technology. Chris and John have already enjoyed some great networking opportunities, workshops, and the chance to reconnect with colleagues from last year.
