Despite Dogecon being behind us, and the unusually hot weather our team in Vancouver has been experiencing, we have remained in great spirits and laser focused as we push forward on product and tech developments.

This week, we sat down with our advisor, Rogayeh Tabrizi, to work on our Token Economics Model, conducted a WeChat AMA, received great press coverage, and corrected library and superpeer bugs.

TL: DR

  • RightMesh project Advisor on Economics, Data Science & Algorithms, Rogayeh Tabrizi, worked with our product team on the Token Economics Model;
  • RightMesh project CEO, John Lyotier, was featured in ‘Internet Connectivity is a Human Right, and RightMesh has a Plan to Fulfill it’ by Digital Trends;
  • An AMA was hosted on Wechat on June 29 to address the questions raised by our Chinese community following the unpausing of the RMESH tokens;
  • We are hiring! Our parent company Left, is looking to bring on six new team members to work on the RightMesh project.

Press

Product

  • Token Economics Model: We had a great session reviewing the token economics model with the RightMesh project Advisor on Economics, Data Science & Algorithms, Rogayeh Tabrizi. We analyzed the different decisions users can take on role, price, and effort to maximize utility from the network. Next steps include simulating the model and examining the various scenarios based on variable inputs and constraints.
  • App Planning: We reviewed new apps and experiments to be built with our team in Bangladesh. The plan is to have these apps built and tested within the Bangladesh market.

Tech

  • Bug Fixing: We performed multiple bug fixes within the library. We also found and fixed a bug within a Superpeer that was preventing messages to pass through the Superpeer.
  • Global Connectivity Map: We commenced development of a tool that will show a global connectivity map. This will provide a visual representation of nodes within the network and assist with debugging tools.

RightLabs

The workshop on research continues with our app development teams in Bangladesh and Canada. Teams were out this week doing interviews at University and College campuses with potential users for proposed app projects in the education sector. The goal of the interviews was to gain a better understanding of mobile behaviour and to learn what social and community groups students are involved with both online and offline.

AMA

Recently, our CEO, John Lyotier, held an AMA with the RightMesh Wechat community specifically to answer questions raised immediately following the unpausing of RMESH tokens.

The questions, and the answers, are relevant to all our community, so we wanted to share the common ones with you here.

If you have more questions, please be sure to ask! You can reach us at info@rightmesh.io

Scam Alerts

It has come to our attention that a fake RMESH token was listed on an exchange. If you are choosing to engage in trading, it is your responsibility to ensure the smart contract address is correct.

Community

Green Challenge: This week, our team entered the next phase of our Green Challenge, reducing the amount of single-use plastics we use. This is important as the oceans are full of plastic materials. There’s a garbage patch in the Pacific Ocean larger than Mexico! But, with awareness and effort we can slowly improve the fate of our oceans.

To start bringing awareness to our team, Laura hosted a great lunch and learn on the current state of the ocean and how we can make a difference through each effort.
