It has been an action packed week at RightMesh as John, Chris and Brianna attended Blockchain Week in New York. They had a fantastic time connecting with our early contributors, advisors, and community members, both old and new. Back in our office, the team has been preparing for the Crowd Contribution round of our TGE (May 30th, 13:00 CEST)!

TL:DR

  • Our team attends Blockchain week New York;
  • WeChat channel opened to better serve our Chinese community members;
  • Developer portal planning took place for post-TGE;
  • Team prepares for the final round of our TGE to take place on May 30th at 13:00 CEST.

How a Mesh Network is Formed

Tech/ Product

  • Developer Portal: We had some really good kick off meetings this week between the product and dev teams on the developer portal and the RightMesh mobile component (though we’re yet to define a name for that!). While these parts of the platform have already been developed, we’re taking a step back to look at them with a user-centric focus and ensure they are developed holistically with the user needs at heart.
  • R&D: The tech team is continuing to focus on the research and development into DTN and a CCN integration into the RightMesh platform.

RightLabs

  • Research Workshop: We’re in our 2nd week of the research workshop with our apps development team in Bangladesh, focusing this week on the importance of ‘stakeholder interviews’.
  • Education App: Our team is in the ideation phase of building an education-based project using RightMesh that could potentially be used in schools in Bangladesh, with the goal of ‘accelerating results for children’. We have been speaking with many education professionals in Bangladesh and are excited as to where we see the app going.

Partnerships

We’ve been fortunate to have really interesting discussions with prospect partners every week, and this week was no exception. Had a great call with a prospect in Rwanda on how RightMesh powered smartphones and applications could be used to bring valuable services to consumers. While we’re still in the building stage, these conversations have been extremely insightful to understand where the technology can be used, and hopefully will result in valuable partnerships moving forward.

TGE Progress

On May 30th at 13:00 CEST, the RightMesh crowd contribution round will begin!

As we head into our final round of the TGE, we want to make sure you don’t miss out!

Community & Events

May 11th–12th: Brianna MacNeil, our Product Manager Blockchain, flew down to New York to attend the Ethereal Summit. The conference was fantastic and brought together builders, philosophers, policymakers and humanitarians from across the blockchain space. Brianna’s favourite talk was from Vanessa Grellet, Executive Director, Social Impact at ConsenSys. Another highlight was connecting with DecentDocumentary who will be featuring RightMesh in the coming weeks.

Brianna at the Ethereal Summit

May 14th–16th: RightMesh project Co-Founders, John Lyotier and Chris Jensen, joined Brianna MacNeil in New York to attend Consensus 2018. Put on by CoinDesk, this conference did not disappoint. With over 250 speakers and 8000 attendees it brought the entire blockchain community together. Our team had an amazing time meeting some of our early contributors, advisors and other passionate entrepreneurs from around the globe.

May 17th: John Lyotier, RightMesh project CEO, jumped on a plane and went across the United States to speak at the fnIRL Global Conference in San Francisco. This conference brings together over 100 tech founders and covers the most popular topics raised in the founders network forum.

Here’s where you can find us next week:

May 22nd: RightMesh project CTO, Dr. Jason Ernst and Marketing and Events Specialist, Amber McLennan, will be attending AiDecentralized in Toronto, Canada. AiDecentralized is an ACM Global Initiative that brings 870,000 AI Practitioners from across the world together with 280,000 Blockchainers and Cryptographers. Dr. Jason Ernst is looking forward to speaking at the conference and discussing the possibilities for intersection between the two technologies.
