No one should have to risk their health to vote.

America’s long-standing practices of voter suppression have thrived in the digital age. Not surprisingly, communities of color, citizens with limited-English proficiency, and those with disabilities are often targeted using traditional as well as digital discriminatory tactics.

As we continue to galvanize for this year’s elections amidst this pandemic, it is critical for us to examine how modern technology not only helps facilitate voter suppression, but how it can be leveraged to combat disenfranchisement.

Join us for our next virtual session focused on building power and resisting digital voter suppression. RSVP here. Hear from movement leaders, LaTosha Brown from Black Voters Matter, Shireen Mitchell from Digital Sisters/as & Stop Online Violence Against Women, and Sabrina Hersi Issa from Rights x Tech and COVID Racial Impact Data Alliance on how this critical work is being shaped during the current pandemic and what technologists can do to support a democracy where all people from all backgrounds can fully participate.

When: Wednesday, May 13, 1 PM ET
Where: URL to join Zoom will be shared after registration. RSVP here
(Note: for security purposes, this event will require participants to have an active Zoom account, which you can sign up for free here.)
