Helping the Space Sector, welcome, GMV!
I’m happy to announce that GMV Innovating Solutions joins the Rigor Guild customers family. They got in touch with us after watching the «Deliveritis Aguda y Crónica» talks.
GMV is a worldwide multinational company with more than 2.000 employees and 230 MEUR revenue. Its space division covers all activities, products and developments focused on the space-segment area of missions and those components that are space-segment-related even if they are installed and used on the ground during the mission.
GMV has been involved in space-segment activities since 2007, participating in the main space programs. GMV’s portfolio of activities for the space segment addresses the following areas:
- Mission Analysis and System Engineering
- Guidance, Navigation and Control Systems (GNC) and related technologies
- Autonomy and Robotics
- Satellite and Mission Simulators
- On-board Software and Independent Validation, including SW Validation Facilities (SVF)
What a cool domain to work in, isn’t it? The main tech challenge that the GMV space division has is to innovate around new technologies, including web ones to onboard faster new customers, increase even more their quality and encourage a technical excellence culture.
The plan is to work together with the team to define a tech target picture and analyze the current status quo in multiple areas (testing, developer experience, CI/CD, culture, organization, talent, training, etc.) to create a plan for getting there. We’ll keep you posted about the progress!
