Classical music, when you hear the name the first thing that might come to your mind…boring. I am going to try and convince you why it is quite actually the opposite and why you should listen to it. One of human races greatest achievements is western classical music and listening has so many benefits. Classical music can lower blood pressure, relive pain, help you sleep, and reduces stress levels. Classical music is considered boring because its old, long, and some think it all sounds the same. I have to disagree and want to encourage people to try and have a new perspective when listening next time they hear classical listen to the different melody's and rhythms, really listen to the music and envision a story or place, and listen to upbeat fast classical not just slow pieces like Cannon in D or Moonlight Sonata. Some fun upbeat songs you might want to start off with are Tchaikovsky ballets which tell a story or some Yo-Yo Ma. Some pieces I love to listen to are Chopin: 12 Etudes, Op. 25 №11 (Also named Winter Wind)which is a very fast paced song with many layers. Other composers I like to listen to are Paganini, Brahms, Bach, and Mozart. When I first started listening to classical music I also found the stories of the composers interesting such as Mozart's alleged feud with Salieri and the curse of the ninth both very interesting stories that might make you understand more about classical music. Classical music is very interesting once you get past the stigma and really listen.

Chopin Winter Wind a (at first deceiving) fast exciting piece: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHlqEvAwdVc
