Developer Spotlight — Anirban Sen Chowdhary
This month we wanted to take time to highlight a member of our amazing community: Anirban Sen Chowdhary.
Anirban has played an absolutely instrumental role in the RingCentral Developers Community writing over 100 blogs, creating over 50 videos covering different aspects of RingCentral, and answering over 600 questions on the RingCentral Developers forum! Needless to say, he has also completed the most challenges in our Game Changers program and currently holds the number 1 spot on the leaderboard. So what drives Anirban and why did he choose to invest so heavily in the RingCentral Developers Community?
As a Java and Mulesoft developer — Anirban has been focused on helping companies improve their technologies for the last 10 years with a primary focus on APIs, design and development and web applications/ standalone applications to API desk applications.
Anirban was first introduced to RingCentral15 years ago when his dad used RingCentral to send faxes. He remembers seeing his dad sending faxes via dial up at a time when most people still needed a separate fax machine. He was recently reintroduced to RingCentral and the many new capabilities beyond fax after reading a post by Mike Stowe about the Game Changers community — so he joined to learn more about what RingCentral was doing, and of course earn some awesome prizes in the process.
Once he signed up he was excited to learn about the many communication APIs with capabilities spanning message, video, and phone and the possibilities they created.
“I got to know [that the RingCentral] API can be used for communication in this way and it’s actually cloud-based so it’s very easy to use and the more I get into it… I fell in love with it, you can call, you can send SMS. You can actually, you can fax and meetings, videos, everything you can do.… The moment you get an API that works for you, you can build an application over your customer application and it can do anything you want.”
Beyond the capabilities, however, Anirban points out that community is one of the most important parts of an organization, because developers will look at how many other developers are using it and what they are doing. Developers will also lean on other developers in the community for support and troubleshooting projects they are working on..
Experiencing the capabilities and incredible community, Anirban says he would recommend others to explore the RingCentral platform:
“I will definitely recommend to at least to explore the RingCentral… it’s very easy documentation available people from any background… you don’t need much effort to learn all those things you just need to build…any developer of any program language can start it very easy. “
