RingCentral Announces Upgrades to Integration with Salesforce Including SMS Features
Today we are excited to announce upgrades to RingCentral’s integration with Salesforce. Our customers can now unlock the benefits of an integrated communication experience by combining the world’s #1 CRM platform with our powerful cloud business communications solution, trusted by more than 300,000 businesses.
In 2014, 87% of businesses preferred cloud solutions over on premise solutions. That means that in the next few years, businesses will be selecting cloud-based CRM and communication technologies to power their sales teams. RingCentral for Salesforce gives organizations the unique opportunity to integrate CRM and business communications from the get-go, to maximize productivity and worker efficiency.
Customers will have access to a complete enterprise-grade business communications platform, including cloud-based business calling, SMS text messages, video conferencing, and web meeting capabilities, all from Salesforce1. New and upgraded features to be rolled out to RingCentral Premium and Enterprise Office customers (in the US and Canada) in the 4th quarter of 2015 include:
- Improved reporting and call logging with customer fields
- Automatic record match for incoming calls within the Salesforce platform
- A simple click-to dial option from within Salesforce1 Mobile makes outbound calling a snap
- SMS capabilities that enable users to send messages directly from Salesforce
- Access to SMS message history in the activity and contact sections
With hundreds of thousands relying on the Salesforce to work more efficiently, it’s a top priority for our team to upgrade the capabilities of the Salesforce and RingCentral integration. According to a May 2015 RingCentral survey, 80% of workers use texting for business, and 15% say over half their texts are sent or received for business purposes. In just a few months, Salesforce users will have access to SMS messaging capabilities and history, making it easier to stay in touch with prospective clientele.
As RingCentral continues to build its open platform and increase the capabilities of the RingCentral Connect Program, customers around the world will have easy access to business communications integrated with the tools and technologies they love the most.
