RingCentral announces Video SDK, AI APIs, and Social Messaging APIs now available in Beta
RingCentral is pleased to announce three new betas. With our new Video SDK, AI APIs, and Social Messaging APIs, customers, partners, and developers can continue to revolutionize the way businesses communicate through white-labeled video interactions, deeper communications insights, and the ability to communicate seamlessly with customers across even more channels.
With these APIs, you have the composability required to fully maximize the customer and employee experience to meet your unique business needs, improving customer satisfaction while driving greater efficiency and reducing costs. What you can expect from our Video SDK, AI API, and Social Messaging API customer beta
Building on top of RingCentral MVP and the largest set of communication APIs in the industry, our new APIs allow you to take advantage of advanced capabilities all with a single account — helping ensure that these capabilities work seamlessly with your existing communication infrastructure, provide insights for all of your communications data, and ensure regulatory policies are uniformly applied. Here’s a preview of our Video SDK, AI APIs, and Social Messaging APIs:
Video SDK
With our Video SDK beta, you can seamlessly embed high-quality real-time video into your web, desktop, or mobile applications. Our RingCentral Video SDK currently supports WebRTC on Chrome or can be used natively within Android or iOS.
RingCentral Video SDK is designed to be a completely white-labeled video experience, allowing you to create any particular look and feel, including utilizing your colors, logos, and icons. You can even control the video canvas to determine how speakers, screen sharing, and other functions display — without sacrificing high-quality video and the numerous, powerful features built into RingCentral Video.
With the option to turn on end-to-end encryption, you can create secure video interactions for sensitive meetings such as those covering financial services and don’t have to worry about prying eyes from participants outside of your video call. Alternatively, if you want a particular look, or feel, or have a video canvas preference, you can build your own fully customizable, high-quality Video SDK.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) API beta brings the capabilities and power of RingCentral AI, specialized for business communications, to all of your audio or video files. By using RingCentral AI, you can retrieve accurate transcriptions of voice and video recordings, even for non-native English speakers!
RingCentral AI even can analyze which participant is speaking, or listening, or can even detect background noise through our speaker detection. Not only can it analyze interaction, but our AI API beta can also identify and monitor emotions to better understand how a participant handles the conversation, providing your business with deeper insights, and helping create better customer experiences.
Last but not least, RingCentral AI summarization and keyword analysis can lighten the workload for you by providing you with intelligent summarization and keywords of what was discussed during your conference to easily add notes to your CRM, categorize calls for easy lookup, or identify potential problems or product opportunities more quickly.
Social Messaging API
The RingCentral Social Messaging APIs allow you to communicate seamlessly across even more channels, including popular social media and messaging platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, WhatsApp, and more.
With our Social Messaging API, the use cases are endless — from allowing customers to set up appointments or get appointment reminders through their preferred messaging channel, to customer support, to social media-driven e-commerce.
