RingCentral MVP APIs

  1. LOB Analytics API (open beta) for RingCentral MVP: The Analytics APIs are still in open beta and have received quite a few enhancements such as additional filters, better error messages, etc. Expect more great enhancements this next quarter and beware of some breaking changes by the end of July. You can find the latest information in API changelog & developer guide.
  2. Audit Trail API for RingCentral MVP: Still open for beta testers is a new Audit Trail API. This search API allows you to try searching our audit logs between specified dates and filter by extension ID, site, or even action. Since the Audit Trail API mimics the Audit Trail functionality Administrators have in the Admin Portal, you can use the list here to see all the configuration changes available to view via the API. Engage Voice & Digital APIs and SDKs

  1. Media Distributor API for Engage Voice: A new set of Streaming APIs allows developers to build integrations that can actively listen to calls in real-time stereo (one for agent and one for the client). Developer Guides show how you can use this real-time stereo stream to live transcribe a conversation using Google Cloud.
  2. Bring your own survey for Engage Digital: we’ve launched a new Engage Digital Survey SDK to easily integrate third party survey solutions into Engage Digital. You can configure the questionnaire, send the questionnaire via email or chat, collect the responses and store the results. Get started with the Engage Digital Survey SDK today!

Developer Experience

  1. Redesigned App Gallery in the RingCentral App for improved discoverability: the App Gallery found in our flagship desktop app has been redesigned to better connect customers with your promoted apps. Create an app profile and add your public app to the App Gallery today.
  2. Improved bot and add-in installation process: It’s easier than ever to install Add-ins across multiple teams with a new prompt that asks customers which groups they would like to add your Add-in to. Now, once a bot is installed, other team members can add the bot to a chat right from an app’s profile page.
  3. Simplified app promotions across RingCentral partners: we simplified how developers select the partners whose app galleries their app will be promoted within to help developers maximize the distribution potential of their apps. Modify promotion preferences from your app’s settings page.
  4. Speed improvements to the app graduation process: app graduation serves an important role in ensuring the quality of apps on our platform, but the time it takes to graduate can sometimes be frustrating. We have made progress on addressing this common complaint by dramatically increasing the interval at which the data that drives graduation process is updated.
  5. Documentation updates: with your help we continue to work to improve our developer documentation. Notable updates include:

RingCentral Labs

  1. Google Drive and Google Forms Betas: Now in beta, the Google Drive and Google Forms Add-ins are examples of how to integrate with Google services. Learn more about creating your own Google integrations by checking out the Google Drive GitHub repository and Google Forms GitHub repository.
  2. Event Bot, EVANS: Introducing a new utility Add-in app that lets you create, plan and organize events with your team! This new event bot will track events for you along with attendance and even has an option for checking immunization status. Give EVANS (Everyone Verify Attendance at our Next Social) a try for your next great event and let us know what you think!
  3. HubSpot Add-in: Ever wish you could update contacts when taking a call in RingCentral Team Messaging? Now you can! See our example of CRM integration with HubSpot and discuss contacts, companies, deals, tickets and more right from Team Messaging. When a call comes in, you’ll be notified by the HubSpot Add-in of the contact details and even have the ability to take notes and set the call outcome directly in the post. Give HubSpot Add-in a try today and see how CRMs can integrate with Team Messaging.
  4. Zendesk Add-in: A popular integration with Zendesk has been updated to take advantage of the RingCentral add-in framework. Users of Zendesk can easily subscribe to help ticket updates using interactive adaptive cards, as well as create new help tickets all without leaving Team Messaging.
