We’re happy to announce the RingCentral Developers Summer ’22 Release which includes new core APIs, SDK enhancements along with new and updated Developer Guides and App Gallery.

RingCentral MVP APIs

LOB Analytics API (open beta) Breaking Change for RingCentral MVP: We’ve heard your feedback and now we are making changes to the LOB Analytics APIs to make the APIs even easier to use. Several breaking changes are part of this release including endpoint paths, time setting changes, filter changes, and grouping changes. If you have not signed up yet, we are still in open beta and you can access the latest information in API changelog & developer guide.

Audit Trail API for RingCentral MVP: Still accepting beta testers for a new Audit Trail API. This search API allows you to try searching our audit logs between specified dates and filter by extension ID, site, or even action. Since the Audit Trail API mimics the Audit Trail functionality Administrators have in the Admin Portal, you can use the list here to see all the configuration changes available to view via the API. Developer Experience

Join the RingCentral Video Client SDK private beta. We welcome all developers interested in creating unique and innovative real-time communication experiences powered by RingCentral Video to sign-up for RCV Client SDK beta. Using these SDKs, available for iOS, Android and Javascript, developers can embed meetings directly into their products and gain access to all of the events and data that drive their meetings.

App Gallery Ratings and Reviews: We began rolling out ratings and reviews to the App Gallery to help our customers find the highest quality integrations, and our developers receive valuable feedback from customers. To get the most value from this feature, we recommend all developers with apps in the App Gallery to begin prompting their users to leave a rating and/or review. Apps with the highest ratings will qualify for special promotions to our customers, so don’t delay. Get those ratings and reviews rolling in!

Attention: end-of-life for OAuth implicit grant: Following the security recommendations from the OAuth community, RingCentral will stop supporting the implicit grant OAuth flow designed for client-side applications in 2023. Developers should migrate their applications to using the auth code grant type with PKCE support for a more secure authorization flow.

RingCentral Labs

SMS Campaigns Application Beta: RingCentral is pleased to offer SMS Campaigns Application (Beta) to our customers. This helps our customers engage with their end-users by offering an out-of-the-box app to send sms marketing campaigns or surveys. Available in US and CA, you can use this app with your standard RingCentral phone number or high volume phone number, and send up to 20,000 messages in a day, and 5,000 messages in a single campaign.

NOTE: TCR registration is a must for customers before sending SMS campaigns. Without this registration, customers will face deliverability errors and daily limits on SMS. To register your SMS numbers with TCR, please contact RingCentral Support.

Asana Add-in: Track tasks via Asana. You can receive notifications of new tasks, comment on those tasks, and even have the Asana Add-in remind you of an upcoming due date for a task. See how task applications like Asana can integrate with Team Messaging and how you can be more productive with tasks by trying out the Asana Add-in.
