Moonpay, the leading digital payment infrastructure provider is now available on RioWallet.

With a list of partners that includes Bitcoin.com, TrustWallet and OpenSea and trusted by over 5 million users, MoonPay’s integration in the RioDeFi ecosystem represents another major milestone in our journey to make cryptocurrencies accessible to everyone.

Using MoonPay, users can now purchase crypto directly through the RioWallet using their credit or debit cards. In this first iteration MoonPay integration supports RFuel, BTC, ETH & USDT.

Step 1: Make sure you have at least 0.1 RFuel before you start the transaction on MoonPay

2. Select Buy Crypto

3. Click on MoonPay tab

4. Select the currency you want to buy

5. Enter the amount you want to buy

6. On Deposit tab select the currency that matches the cryptocurrency you want to buy and then click Request the address

7. Copy the generated address and paste it into your wallet address field and click Continue

8. Enter your payment details and agree to the terms

9. Click on the Buy Now tab

10. Follow the KYC process (Note: It will be different based on your country of residence)

11. Once the KYC is completed you’ll see your trade history of transactions

How can I verify my identity?

Proof of ID

To give you access to our services, we need to know your legal first name and legal last name. You can send us the following type of government-issued identification documents photographed:

• International passport (currently not supported for US customers)
• National ID card (both sides)
• Driving license (both sides)

Please note that your photos and the document itself need to meet the following requirements:

• Photos are in high resolution
• Photos are in color
• Original photos are uploaded (no screenshots or graphic editing software)
• Document is easily readable (no flash or blurriness)
• All four corners of the document are clearly visible
• Document has your signature
• Document is not physically damaged
• Document is valid for at least 1 month
• Document contains Latin characters (documents in Arabic, Hebrew or Japanese without English translation are not accepted)

How can I verify my residence address?

You can use one of the following documents, as long as it has been issued within the last 3 months, and it has your full name and residential address on it:

• Utility bill
• Bank or credit card statement
• Tax invoice
• Other government-issued residential statement or certificate

Please note that MoonPay is not accepting:

• Mobile phone bills
• Medical bills
• Purchase receipts
• Insurance statements

Your proof of address document must meet the following requirements:

1. Shows your full name
2. Shows your full home address (PO Box addresses are not accepted)
3. Shows the date of issue
4. Shows the name of the issuing entity
5. The document was issued in the last 3 months
6. The whole sheet of paper is visible in the photo
7. Your document photo is an original photo and not a screenshot
8. The address printed on the document is not a PO Box address

How long does it take to receive my cryptocurrency?

Orders made via card usually take between a few minutes and a few hours, depending on the number of orders and any additional security checks we have to conduct.

Purchase orders made via GBP bank transfer will be sent to your wallet within 1 working day, while purchase orders made via EUR bank transfer can take up to 3 working days to arrive in your wallet.
