Hello RISE Community,

As our development team work towards building a solution for the future development of DAPPs, it is important to understand the elements that create RISE. With this in mind, we have created a high-level overview in the graphic below.

Technology Developments

A precautionary security update was implemented for the RISE blockchain by Andrea (@vekexasia), which will require action by all node operators. Delegates will be required to update their mainnet nodes as soon as possible, you can find more instructions in the RISE #delegates Slack channel.

In May we started the creation of new wallets for RISE. Feedback we had received highlighted the existing wallets were not user friendly and in some instances just stopped working. Given that wallets are your access point to RISE that lives on the blockchain, it is highly important RISE wallets are user friendly and eliminate human error where possible. We are also designing the wallets to be somewhat educational for users who are new to RISE. From an internal standpoint the new wallets will also be written in TypeScript and this allow them to be easily maintained going forward.

Mart (@roosmaa) has designed the first iteration of on-boarding UX and this is now ready for user testing. The new wallets will also have internationalisation support. We will be recruiting for wallet testers in June and we strongly encourage non-english languages speakers to sign up. Details will be released in the coming weeks for testers to sign up.

We announced our new RISE Developer Application Challenge, which is open for TypeScript/JavaScript and Python applications created with RISE APIs. Please feel free to explore and share these with developer communities in your network. We have started by reaching out to a variety of Computer Science societies at universities and organisations that provide blockchain training to developers.

RISE was added as a new addition to the Darpal Rating Audit for April. We look forward to improving our ranking as we expand the development team.

How can you help us climb the ranks? If you have a Github account you can ‘Watch’ and ‘Star’ our repositories in the RiseVision Github. If you are a developer and would like to add value to RISE technology, you can make a contribution (pull request/bug report) to any of our public repositories.

Exchange Developments

On the 7th May RISE was listed on Exrates, with BTC, ETH and USD pairings, and is an actively-growing ‘exchange platform’. The exchange is available in English, Russian, Chinese, Arabic and Indonesian.

There are still community voting opportunities for exchanges that you can help with here: CoinFalcon, CoinPulse, Altcoin.io, LesCovex, NextExchange, Nebula.

Community Developments

Since RISE is now in mainnet we are looking to hire a core developer to help us maintain the RISE core codebase. To support us find the right talent, you can help us by sharing these job postings on Crypto Jobs List and CryptoJobs. We have had over 10 applications so far and we will start the evaluation, interviewing and shortlisting process.

Thank you to our community member @DDDRISE who has been translating updates and RISE newsletters into Korean via this blog, which you can view here: http://blog.naver.com/kaynarr. Thank you also to Oleg for translating the April newsletter into Russian. Finally, thank you to our awesome community members who help new RISE holders learn about the project.

If anyone has written a great article about RISE, please do let us know as we would love to be able to share this with the wider community.

RISE Monthly Statistics

The below chart highlights 74.2% of RISE (92,859,487) voted to elect the 101 Delegates and 2% of RISE (2,562,962) on 101 to 202 Delegates securing the network. 23.8% of RISE (29,756,261) is non-voting.

Total RISE Supply 125,178,710. Chart generated 1st June 2018.

To close on this month, we thank the community for promoting RISE and we hope to give you more great news as we progress the vision of RISE.
