Today RISE VISION launches a Testers Program for the purpose of subjecting its brand new TypeScript code base to rigorous testing before it is deployed to mainnet. Bounties paid in RISE are made available for those who successfully complete the test period.

RISE takes a rather unique position in the blockchain world. As of today it is the first of its kind blockchain project which has its entire code base written in TypeScript. Why is this a big deal you might ask? The answer in one word is scaling. Contrary to JavaScript, TypeScript allows for the development of large-scale projects. This is a vital key for RISE considering the plans that have been plotted out for the expansion of RISE through building multiple new businesses on top of its blockchain, the first in the line-up being Interlet. TypeScript also lets us write much more robust and readable code that will speed up development and future code refactoring. This increased development speed helps to quickly add greater value to the RISE eco-system to the benefit of its users.

The new RISE TypeScript code base currently resides in a private repository on Github. Our Development team is already successfully running a testnet with the new TypeScript code base. However, before we deploy the new code base to RISE mainnet, rigorous testing is required in order to guarantee optimal stability and security.

For this purpose we are organizing a RISE Testers Program and we have made bounties available for each participant.

We invite those who are technically inclined and have sufficient experience setting up and maintaining Delegate Nodes to join the RISE Testers Program.

RISE Testers Program Details

Those who want to participate need to sign up by filling out the following online application form:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1bhk5VrzZFRPsTcTscuc4DT4k9MqmzFNdJoEi1nCbK3A/edit

To be eligible for the bounty paid in RISE each tester is required to do the following:

  • check the private #typescript-testers channel in RISE Slack on a daily basis for updates and instructions (testers get granted access to this channel when their application is approved)
  • run and maintain a test node on the RISE TypeScript testnet for three consecutive months. Please note that every tester is responsible for the cost of running their test node.
  • promptly respond to directions given by our development team
  • report potential bugs

After three months the bounties will be distributed, please note that this is a one-time event only for now, meaning that there are currently no plans to go beyond three months but if we do then it will be announced close to the end of the three month period.

Each participant who successfully completed the test period and fulfilled the requirements will receive 300 RISE for their efforts.
