Most of us believe that getting what we want (be it an achievement an object or someone), is what will make us happy. But this is not true. The reason we feel happy when we get what we want is not because we got what we wanted but because in that moment in that period of time where we get what we want, we stop wanting. And when there is no more wanting our attention/mind rests, and in doing so our natural state can be felt. A state that is naturally happy because it is already complete and fulfilled on to itself. A state that is generally missed because of how distracted we are believing that getting what we want is what will bring us to this supremely happy and natural state.
