Land Crate Unboxing Begins

The time has come to open your land crates! Chaos has engulfed the lands, and Emperor Nakamoto seeks a shogun to restore order. With enough land, resources and manpower, a strong shogun can unite Japan once again. Do you have what it takes? Here’s what you can expect after unboxing your land crates:

Land Rarity & Resource Rates

Some plots of land are rarer than others! Every plot has its own unique resource accumulation rate. The base wood accumulation rate for all land types is x1 but can be up to x1.3 on rare Hill plots. Different types of land have different base resource rates. For example, the base rate for stone is 1.2x for Coast plots, but only 1x for Hill and Mountain plots. You can check your plot’s resource rate on the Land Properties page!

Town Center

Every plot of land starts with a level 1 Town Center. Once you’ve accumulated enough resources, you can upgrade your Town Center. Leveling up your Town Center gives you access to new buildings, technology paths and other hidden features.

Construction

The first building possible to construct after land crate unboxing is the Lumber Mill. Building a Lumber Mill increases wood a plot’s wood accumulation rate. It costs 100 wood and takes 2 days to build. Other starter buildings such as a Stone Quarry of Forge will be introduced in the coming days. These buildings will allow players to start accumulating additional resources such as stone and iron. A total of 24 buildings will be available after the initial phase of updates following land unboxing. Even more buildings will be introduced as development progresses. Players will need to strategize when deciding which buildings to construct, as there isn’t enough space for all 24 buildings on a single plot of land.

Lands & Rise of the Shogun

Rise of the Shogun is the next addition to RisingSun’s play-to-earn ecosystem. Focused on player choice and strategy, Rise of the Shogun will introduce an array of new features while overlapping with land NFTs and SamuraiRising. Cards fundamental to Rise of the Shogun such as Spells and Relics will be exclusively crafted using lands, giving landowners a significant edge. In addition, players will earn rewards for winning games in Rise of the Shogun, such as rare resources, crates and prestige. Prestige is used to upgrade and specialize a player’s Daimyo.

Future Updates

We are still in the early stages of development for land NFTs and have much more coming soon. Further complexity will be introduced as development progresses.
