And be sure to read my last blog on “Past Blog: Time Management Tips For Procrastinators” & “FREE Download: May 2020 Desktop Wallpapers”.

If I could some up this blog into one word it would have to be the word Determination: standing firm in your purpose.

1. Stay Consistent

Staying consistent with something is hard to do, instead, you should try to shrink your consistency goal. It’s not that the goal is too big, the timeframe may be overwhelming for you. By shrinking it to 7 days instead of 3 months you’re able to just commit to reaching your goal throughout the week without giving up.

2. Affirm Who You Are

Each morning after reading my daily scriptures in my bible I like to write down my goals or affirmations for my life. This allows for you to truly stay focused on what you want out of life and go after it. Use I am or I have while writing your affirmations and watch how it not only changes your mood but also you life. If you want to take it a step further you can even turn it into audio recording and listen to your goals whenever you’ve run out of time write down your goals. Record yourself saying what you want out of life, with every word you say it will build momentum and help you to believe that anything is possible.

3. Never Stop Reading

The more you read the more you realize just how much you didn’t know, it expands your mind and the way you think. Now you can’t expand who you are if your reading romance novels like 50 Shades of Grey or Harry Potter. These kinds of books are for fun they still have a place in your life but they are only entertainment like watching your favorite Netflix show. If you’re looking to learn more about investing read a book on investing; if you’re looking to start a business read a book on small businesses, change your genre and see where it takes you.

4. Wake Up Early

If you’re like me and you struggle to get up early I strongly suggest you start changing your morning routine. Giving yourself a good reason to get out of bed will allow you to complete things in your day before the distractions of life can disturb you. Earlier this year I decided that I wanted to grow my relationship with God so I decided to get each morning at 5 am with my coffee of course and just take in His word. I use my bible app to play my scripture reading plan then I read my daily affirmations and finally pray. So that I can start getting ready for my day and head out the door for work.

5. Stop Complaining

Instead of complaining about an issue use your time to think of a solution to solve what everyone complains about. No one want’s to be friends with a Debbie downer, you don’t want to be known in these streets as a nag so just stop. Try tracking how often you complain by tracking it for a week and you will be amazed how often you have a negative thought or a complaint on something that truly doesn’t matter.

6. Change Your Thinking

Once you have changed your thinking it becomes easier to change your life, during hard times your able to rise from that situation an come out stronger. Because you refuse to be broken from circumstances happening around you. I may not know what you are going through in this moment but one thing I know for sure is that you won’t be in this place forever. You need to be able to think outside of your situation and start taking action so that you will never have to be in this negative place again.

7. Be Honest

Being honest allows you to stay decisive and not go back on what you said to appease others when they don’t agree with you. This allows you to be authentic and not be a sheep by following along with others to instead be a leader with your own mind.

8. Take Action

We all have ideas but they can only become great ideas unless we take action and turn them into a reality. Sometimes when we have an idea when we don’t take action see someone else take action on that same idea going on Shark Tank with your invention, or opening up that business we start to feel like we have missed the boat. When in reality opportunity is always in abundance and in order to reap the benefits you have to get up and get started. Do you know how long it took me to start my blog and my YouTube channel, 6 years these ideas popped in my head while in high school and I never took action. If I could go back and time and tell myself to start now I would, because who knows where I would be with Rising To Be at this very if I would have started sooner. Don’t Wait Start Now.

9. Get Active

If you’re like me and you are constantly putting off hitting the gym like you know you need to go but you someone how think of a reason not to, that is me through and through. But one thing I have noticed this since I’ve bought and Apple Watch and getting more serious about my health. I’m seeing that I often find excuses but once I’ve gotten started in my workout it is kind of hard for me to stop I start thinking of reasons not to stop. Exercising helps me to clear my mind if I’m having a really stressful week, and sometimes it helps me think of new ideas for Rising To Be blogs and videos like this. It allows me to build discipline in myself and the goal that I have committed to.

10. Set Goals

Setting goals is easy but completing goals is another story, that’s why it’s important that we are creating a plan to accomplish them. Make sure that your is specific enough and have micro-goals so that can start taking action today. Micro goals are kind like steps that lead you to your big goal overtime, you even add dates to your goals so that you see just how far you’ve come. Don’t allow negative thinking to make you feel like your goal may be too big for you to dream, you can do anything you set your mind to. You just have to be willing to try and push forward with courage.

11. Willing To Listen

Be able to listen to advice and take constructive criticism from others that care about your overall success. Sometimes it’s hard for us to trust and hear what others are saying because we’ve been hurt before. But every now and then some people just want to give advice because they care, and it’s also harder for people to judge what you do when you aren’t sharing everything you do online. Like if your sharing that you started a business and everyone you knows you started a business. Instead of supporting you by buying something, they all have advice on how to run your business even though they don’t have a business. These are the people to avoid because they’re all just talk and have no real insight on your situation.
