Happy Black History Month! I decided to read “Minority Leader” by Stacey Abrams because she isn’t the average politician. And I knew this just by looking at her she has a gap tooth, unmarried, full figured and wears her natural hair proudly. I will be discussing Born For Greatness, The Other Side Of Stacey Abrams, Surrounded By Greatness. Born For Greatness

Even though Stacey Abrams lost the election in 2018 it is clear that this won’t be the last we hear of her. I know that she has a very bright future in politics and will continue to make history. The fact that she even ran for Governor speaks volumes and the fact that she nearly won, even though many believe it was rigged by her opponent. And how she still chooses to fight for her state because she knows that change is desperately needed in the South and I believe that Stacey Abrams will be that change.

The Other Side of Stacey Abrams

While watching Sister Circle Live on TV One Stacey Abrams was interviewed and it was revealed that she is a romance author. I did some digging and discovered that her pen name is Selena Montgomery and that she has written several of these books. Now I may not be a fan of romance novels but I am interested to read at least one of them, because of how they are written. Stacey described her books as seeing the black woman in a positive and adoring light by her suitor, and how her writing isn’t a hobby but something she uses to fund a lot her political campaigns.

Surrounded By Greatness

Although Stacey Abrams didn’t come from a family who is highly involved in politics like some of the people she runs against. But she was raised by two amazing parents that instilled so much in her and her brothers & sisters to aim higher. In fact, she aimed so high that she became$ the Valedictorian at her high school but was denied entry to the Valedictorian dinner hosted at the Governor’s Mansion in Georgia since her family had arrived on the bus. Which inspired Stacey and her family to of course aim higher and fight for those who are treated differently based on their race, religion, economic status, and gender.

Would I Read Or Buy Again?

Can I see myself re-reading Stacey Abram’s ‘Minority Leader’ again? Yes! Can I see myself purchasing ‘Minority Leader’? Yes, because I would love to have her sign my copy at one of her campaign rallies. And to reread her book as she’s sworn into whatever office she strives to have.
