October-The Month of Falling into a better you!

This week I decided to read “Uncertainty” by Johnathan Fields, this book is filled with resources to help you rise above uncertainty.

I will be discussing:

1. Restructure Your Uncertainty

2. Don’t Let Them Judge You

3. Faith Over Fear

And be sure to read my last blog on “Book Review: How To Develop Powerful Confidence” & “FREE Download: October Desktop Wallpapers”.

If I could some up this book into one word it would have to be the word Uncertainty: the quality or state of being uncertain.

1. Restructure Your Uncertainty

In order for you to restructure your life, you must first become certain of what you want, it will make it harder for you to settle for less. Build up your assertiveness by being straightforward and clear with people about your desires, thoughts, feelings, and needs.

This will allow you to advocate for what you need, and still, consider other people’s feelings in a respectable way. Take responsibility by using “I” statements like “I need some help organizing the DVDs tomorrow.” Make sure that you are not passively communicating that you need their assistance, this will increase the chances of you not getting the answer your looking for.

2. Don’t Let Them Judge You

Remind yourself of what you know is true, it’s harder for people to find things to judge you on when you know exactly what your setbacks and what your good at. This will allow you to become more confident in your own abilities and be able to improve on your shortcomings.

When someone says something about you or crafts an opinion that is so far from true, just remember this has nothing to do with you, after all, it isn’t true. It was only said to hurt your feelings, and when you have become fully aware of your vulnerabilities, strengths, and attributes their opinions become more irrelevant. You have to take hold of all of your great qualities, take ownership and not allow others to strip you of who you really are.

3. Faith Over Fear

Taking leaps of faith in the face of great uncertainty, the change will happen regards less but what if you chose to take control of certain changes. So that you can handle whatever life throws at you next, it is key to become a better change maker. Now, this doesn’t mean bad things won’t occur but it will allow you to respond quicker, accept changes, find people to support you and become more optimistic.

Time brings more opportunities into our lives that we couldn’t have dreamed of, and when we are sometimes introduced to them we start to doubt ourselves. Doubting whether we should even try or if we could do great with the opportunity. But we should instead think of all the ways this opportunity will go right and how we can adapt to this change.

Would I Buy Or Read Again?

Can I see myself re-reading Johnathan Fields’s book “Uncertainty” again? NO! Can I see myself even purchasing “Uncertainty”? No, this book just felt like a bunch of advice I’ve already heard before.

The Question of the Week is inspired by Johnathan Fields’s book “Uncertainty”. How do you build up certainty in your life?

Answer: By reminding myself of what is real and true.
