Happy May, The Month of Making It Happen!

Increase the number of books you read and improve your overall productivity with these tips:

I will be discussing:

1. Read With Intention

2. The Significance Of Reading

3. Enjoy The Read

And be sure to read my last blog on “Past Blog: Productive Daily Habits To Improve Your Life” & “FREE Download: May 2020 Desktop Wallpapers”.

If I could some up this book into one word it would have to be the word Prosper: flourishing and making the impossible possible.

1. Read With Intention

Be purposeful in your reading set an exact time in your day or week to read, if a book is no longer keeping you attention simply change what your reading. There’s a chance you may not like the content of the book or the author’s writing style doing a simple google search can help you find a book that you won’t want to put down.

Treat your reading time as you treat any other appointment in your life instead of a chore, and also set a cut off time if you often go over your set reading time. If your schedule often gets a bit hectic and it’s to keep up with your set reading time then I strongly suggest keeping a book in your bag or purse or you can listen to an audiobook on audible or from a free app through your library.

2. The Significance Of Reading

Not to sound lame but reading is truly fundamental, books hold and keep so much relevant information that we need to know. Whether it’s a story, autobiographies, thoughts and feelings, it’s amazing how much we can learn from someone else’s words, paragraphs or even imaginary worlds that we are completely obsessed with like Harry Potter & Game of Thrones.

Reading can help us with our critical thinking and the way our brain functions, think of your brain as a muscle and everyday your able to strengthen your brain. From reading daily or weekly we giving ourselves constant stimulation to out brain just like exercise does for our bodies.

3. Enjoy The Read

If you truly enjoy what you are reading but those around you don’t understand or are making fun of for what your reading, you need to keep reading. Not everyone has the patience or the discipline to read a book, ignore those that want to tell you what you should be reading if that isn’t what your interested in. Peoples book recommendations are typically purely their opinion and sometimes they didn’t even read the book they heard it was a great book from a talk show or a best book list.

If you really want to get serious about your reading habit then you need to track it, I decided to read a book each week in 2018. And I was able to accomplish that goal by tracking it and standing firm in getting it done no matter what. There were days and weeks where I wasn’t able to read or finish the book on time but I made sure to make up for it. Simply because it was important to me and if this goal is also important to you as what to me, I would like to share the exact same tracker I used so that you can accomplish the same goal. Reading a book week inspired me to create this very blog to show others how to improve themselves through books, blogs and youtube videos like this.
