Happy September-The Month Of Falling Into A Better You!

This week I decided to read “Girl Wash Your Face” by Rachel Hollis, this book is a reminder that we all need to help us remember to be confident and to be ourselves.

I will be discussing:

  1. Just Stop The Lies
  2. Creating Who We Want To Be
  3. Dangerous Comparisons

And be sure to read my last blog on “Book Review: Unlocking Your Extraordinary Mind” & FREE Download: September Desktop Wallpapers.

If I could sum up this book into one word it would have to be the word Self-confident: a feeling of trust in one’s abilities, qualities, and judgment.

1. Just Stop The Lies

The negative thoughts and lies we tell ourselves can sometimes be harmless, but there are some we dwell on that become apart of us. The ones that become ingrained in who we are, that we often forget that they aren’t true and usually result in long term effects on how we see ourselves. In order to change this, we must examine the ways we are deceiving ourselves, and so that we can repair the wounds we’ve created.

2. Creating Who We Want To Be

You can have whatever you want in this life but you have to first make the decision that you deserve it. Change is possible for us all, we have just to be open and optimistic not delusional that it change overnight. But that it will only change gradually, overwhelming ourselves because it happening according to our plan. Hardly noticing the small changes that are occurring and choosing to give up instead of pushing forward.

3. Dangerous Comparisons

Competition to be the best is often a constant thing in our lives, running to catch up to others when we should focus on our own lane. Watching others live their best life, makes our lives seem unimportant compared to theirs. It’s inevitable, however, allow the comparisons to diminish you and your self-confidence when you should really be chasing after your own happiness.

Would I Buy Or Read Again?

Can I see myself re-reading Rachel Hollis’sbook “Girl Wash Your Face” again? No. Can I see myself even purchasing “Girl Wash Your Face”? No, because I feel like I didn’t read anything that I didn’t already know or hear before.

The Question of the Week is inspired by Rachel Hollis’s book “Girl Wash Your Face”. How do you wash off negative thoughts and lies?

Answer: I surround myself with positive people who support me, and writing down what is true about myself.
