October-The Month of Falling into a better you!

This week I decided to read “Feel the Fear & Do It Anyway” by Susan Jeffers, this book is our guide getting past our fears and gaining confidence in ourselves.

I will be discussing:

1. The Importance of Being Decisive

2. Remove Your Victim Mentality

3. Transforming Your Anger Into Power

And be sure to read my last blog on “Book Review: How To Go From Fear To Fearless” & “FREE Download: October Desktop Wallpapers”.

If I could some up this book into one word it would have to be the word Anxious: experiencing worry, unease, or nervousness, typically about an imminent event or something with an uncertain outcome.

1. Hurry Up & Decide

Fear often causes us to debate what to do next when we should be moving forward with a decision. By dwelling on a minor part of the plan we are unable to see the vision, simply because we are fearful of doing something.

When we use urgency and due dates it can sometimes push us to do it since it feels mandatory. Think of how much time you are wasting simply because you refuse to make a decision or the benefits if it all goes well.

2. Remove Your Victim Mentality

In order to shed your woe is me/victim mentality we have to stop blaming others and start taking accountability. Now I am not saying that it is your fault for everything that has happened in your past, but it is your responsibility to change in order to move forward. All this does is just make us angry and hate the person we are blaming, when we should be taking the time to craft an escape plan.

Don’t be so hard on yourself have compassion and become grateful for how far you have come. Think back to when you prayed to get to where you are, just take a moment to appreciate the growth. We must also be careful that we aren’t self-sabotaging ourself, yes it is hard to ignore that we feel like we don’t deserve success or to be happy.

3. Transforming Your Anger Into Power

In order for us to change and become less angry over time, we must first figure out where to put all of this anger and aggression, so that it can be used for good. Find a hobby that you transfer your energy into or even learn a new skill and start thinking positive thoughts.

Anger is dangerous it can often lead to us wanting vengeance and as fast as possible. Instead of creating a revenge plan you should create a plan to better yourself and your life, think of the ways this can benefit you in the long run.

Would I Buy Or Read Again?

Can I see myself re-reading Susan Jeffers’s book “Feel the Fear & Do It Anyway” again? YES! Can I see myself even purchasing “Feel the Fear & Do It Anyway”? Yes, this book is more than just advice it actually has techniques for the reader to use in their lives.

The Question of the Week is inspired by Susan Jeffers’s book “Feel the Fear & Do It Anyway”. How do you handle fear and anxiety?

Answer: I go for a walk or write out my daily affirmations.
