The All-Encompassing Stage-Aapno Manch
Kids running hither and yon, volunteers and RJs rushing to make sure every arrangement is spot on, parents eagerly waiting to see their kid on stage, all in all, the beautiful chaos. This is how a morning on the Aapno Manch day looks like.
An extravaganza of fun and frolic, Aapno Manch (Your stage) is the flagship event of MICAVaani (The student run community radio at MICA). Tiny tots from nearby villages of Shela and Telav grace the beautiful MICA campus and take control of the activities for an entire day. This event facilitates the expression of opinion and talent.
This mega event generally witnesses a footfall of about 300 people. Amidst the loud cheers from the audience, enthusiastic kids sing and dance their hearts out at the event. Their stage presence and boldness is exemplary. The student team also organizes events like fashion show and theatrics. The event culminates with prize distribution for the students with exceptional academic and sports performances.
All in all, the MICAn community raves the child within itself on the day of Aapno Manch !
