New Job Opening: Virtual Instructor of Big Data Analytics with Spark and Kafka at FORE School of Management, New Delhi

The objective of this course is to help students to learn to analyse Big Data on Apache Spark and learn to use Apache Kafka. This course assumes prior basic working knowledge of three python libraries — pandas, numpy and sklearn. It also assumes that participants have working knowledge of Machine Learning. This is a hands-on Big Data course with python as the primary language.

The course is approximately 20 hours of instruction total. Classes are synchronous and begin at 8:00 pm PDT. Each class session is 90 minutes. The class is provisionally set to start mid-August.

IM Data is a three-day, multi-track conference that focuses on innovative methods in big data and artificial intelligence. Data scientists, analysts, researchers and professionals all converge to discuss, learn, network and participate in valuable training sessions.

Taylor & Francis Group Call for Book Chapters on Healthcare and Data Scientist

In collaboration with Taylor & Francis Group, RMDS Lab is initiating a call for book chapters to be a part of an anthology for our Impactful Data Science series. We are currently looking for chapters focused on the impact of data science on healthcare. Topics can include the following: machine learning (medical imaging, robotics), healthcare analytics, healthcare statistics, predictive analytics, medical image analysis, genomics, and epidemiological modelling. Chapters should be at least 3,000 words.
