What a Dam Day

Some of us got up at twelve while others at 12:30 (Guess who is who). Josh informed us he was arriving home in 10 min. Rafi tried to clean the house — didn’t make it in time.

Once Josh came, we walked for “FIVE MINUTES” from 1:00 till 1:30 to have lunch at Truth, but they were closed. We walked alllll the way back (10 minutes this time, uphill). Then we drove all the way to Camps Bay to go to a Greek place that was, again, closed. Luckily we found a nice Italian place and ate there for a couple of hours. Very lively conversation, aided by the fact that one beer on extremely empty stomachs made us all tipsy very quickly.

After lunch drove home and decided to go to the Silvermine Dam for a swim. The place was so serene and peaceful. The water was brownish, which Josh explained was because of tree bark and Bojana actually believed. Swam around for a while without incident, until Bojana attempted to leave the pool, which resulted in 5 full, real minutes of her crawling in 3 inches of water to shore. In Bojana’s defense, it was “very rocky”. Dried off and drove to Josh’s place in Kalk Bay.

Josh’s apartment is a mini-mansion, complete with a rooftop balcony where we immediately were served wine and nuts by his lovely, generous parents. Chatted there for a while, where Bojana made very good friends with Josh’s sister, Katia, in order to wear her nice european sweater. Jk she genuinely liked her. All four of us went to eat fish and chips at the harbor, which was tasty but too much food. Gave most of it away to people on the street. Then we enjoyed a long, leisurely drive home before drifting peacefully off to sleep (hopefully).
