The Creative Process

As of today the 25th of July 2015, Andrii has delivered 2 versions of the logo and card back. The first of which was not in the realm of acceptability, it was too retro and too basic;

But it did show creativity and a professional way of working. He also delivered early which made me hink we had chosen the right guy.

I consulted with Ronald and Stef and we decided to ask him Andrii to have another go. We told him to use VIP nightclubs and elite celebrity parties as inspiration.

His second designs were much more along the lines of what we had in our minds;

This was still not perfect, we wanted to change the font of the “CD” to something more glamourous, amd we wanted to make the patterns much less celtic and much more sharp/straight looking with stars being incorporated. But all in all i was really happy with the background and colour scheme.

At this point Andrii (quite rightly) became quite frustrated at the constant big changes i was requesting. It took a couple of calm messages from my side that pushed the fact that we were really happy with what he was doing and that we were really close now. I also re affirmed that he had agreed to the terms (to design the back of the card and the logo and to have it accepted by me) so he should have no issues with the pricing as he knew what he was agreeing to.

After this he did accept that small changes were ok and not too many more ‘bigger’ changes would occur. I am keen to have these two items perfect as they will set the entire design theme for the app which means the 2nd amd 3rd milestones will be much easier as he will use the style and colouring already laid out here.

Im hoping to have the newly amended (and hopefully acceptable) logo and card back in the mext day or so which means we can move on to the bull of the work and have enough tove to Stef for him to work on by 5th of August when he has a few days before going on another holiday.
