You can control your covert narcissist if you’re willing to cross into criminality. DON’T follow these tongue-in-cheek suggestions — go no contact instead.

You can easily control a covert narcissist. As long as you’re cold and dead inside.

Like they are.

In other words, if:

  • You don’t love them or have “feelings” for them
  • You don’t care if they like you or not
  • You’re indifferent to everything about them
  • You have something they want
  • You’re in a position of power over them
  • You’re not emotionally transparent (they can’t get any supply from you)

If you don’t care about them — but you have something they want — or you’re in a position of power or authority over them, you can control them just fine.

Narcissists understand transactional relationships. They’ve been living that way all their lives.

If you happen to have feelings for the narcissist, though, it’s much harder to take control.

To do that mostly involves stuff that’s illegal.

Here are a few suggestions that I AM DEFINITELY NOT SUGGESTING.

AGAIN, DO NOT DO ANY OF THESE:

  • #1 KIDNAPPING. Tie them up and stuff them in the trunk of your car. or better yet, somebody else’s car.
  • #2 CITIZEN’S ARREST. Handcuff them to a Confederate statue on a Civil War Battlefield.
  • #3 GET SPOCKED. Use a Vulcan mind meld (not illegal but quite possibly fictional).
  • #4 BLACKMAIL. Has a quaint, old-world kind of charm.
  • #5 SWOOSH. Flush all their Viagra down the toilet.
  • #6 PLOP. Drop their cell phone in the toilet.
  • #7 GLUNK. Drop the wi fi modem in the toilet

After these tongue-in-cheek suggestions inevitably fail, try going

no contact — to save yourself and your sanity.

GOOD LUCK OUT THERE — Myla
