This is a story of a courageous young woman, a scooter rider from Kerala who made a bus driver drive the right lane as he was driving the wrong one. The bus was on the wrong lane i.e on the opposite side. The woman who was riding the scooter stopped and stood in front of the bus. Even though looking tiny in front of the bus, she forces the driver to be on the right lane. Someone shot this and it went like a wave on the internet. However, Driving on the wrong side of the road has become a daily routine, which is a traffic offence in India. We have come across a lot of situations in which driving on the right side of the road has proved harmful. We see a lot of cars, as well as heavily loaded trucks overtaking on highways, they are not only risking their own life but the life of others too. As per the new Motor Vehicle (Amendment) Bill, 2019, there are strict penalties for wrong-way driving in India. But still, we all should abide by the traffic rules made by the authority for us and should also stand against the one who is up there breaking the laws.
