Although many people think the Holy Book has little relevance now, I would beg to have you note otherwise. There is a war obliterating many lives and destinies in the Middle East. Elsewhere, too. Our new U.S. speaker of the House — Mike Johnson — the third most powerful person in the world — bases his life and decisions upon what his bible teaches. And, all over the world, the idea (not the actual fact) of what people think scripture teaches affects the daily lives of religious people, non-religious people, LGBTQ+ people, poor people, rich people, people who want reproductive healthcare (or any care) choice, inclusion, and so much more.

What are the ten commandments? Number one: Have no other gods before me. This one begins with noting that you and I are out of bondage in Egypt, (a fair point for most), and that due to this fact, we must have no other gods to worship other than this One.
