“When life gives you lemons, you clone those lemons and make super lemons” Bill Lawrence

What’s cloning?

Cloning is the reproduction of a cell or a complete organism without modifying the genetic structure. When a cell divides it creates an exact copy of the genetic material and distributes it between the two daughter cells, each cell is an exact clone with the same genetic information.

Cloning is the opposite of sexual reproduction: it doesn’t need the participation between two individuals of different sex.

“Cloning was almost never shown as something that would be of benefit to our species in the future. It was something scary, dangerous and immoral” Daniel Cohen

Natural cloning

Cloning occurs a lot in nature, the division by mitosis is cell cloning which is presented in unicellular beings and some cells in pluricellular organisms. Also, much of the plants multiply through cuts, roots, etc. And at last, identical twins: in this case, the single fertilized egg splits into two. Identical twins look almost exactly alike and share the same genes.
