You must have heard all the hype about NFTs everywhere, and you might be asking yourself how to get into the action. But also, like me, a month ago, you must have been faced with a steep learning curve to get started. In this series, I want to explain some of the basics of becoming a collector. We’ll begin with wallets!

Buying NFTs (non-fungible tokens) is a fantastic way to invest in digital assets and financially support artists. A lot of NFTs also give you usage rights to create derivatives. And, if you’re like me, you must be wanting to hunt those oh-so-rare NFTs in popular collections like Cool Cats, On1Force, Sewer Rats, and (shameless plug) Robotos.

The market for NFTs has exploded in recent months, with digital art selling for up to $70 million, Mike Tyson selling tokenized collectibles, and Lionel Messi recently launching his own NFT crypto art collection.
