Next month, Robotos will drop a new exciting collaboration with Philip Colbert. The well-renowned contemporary artist has used his artistic genius to create an unexpected mashup of two completely different things: Robots and Lobsters.

“I love the positive playful vibe of Robotos, and I was inspired by the energy of their community. The possibilities for a new age in Community art projects is very inspiring” — Philip Colbert.

Philip Colbert: Meet the Artist Behind the Lobster

Philip Colbert, often referred to as the “godson of Andy Warhol”, is a contemporary artist based in London who’s turned his iconic cartoon lobsters into one of the most sought-after contemporary artworks by collectors worldwide. His work powerfully explores the patterns of contemporary digital culture and its relationship to a deeper art historical dialogue.

Colbert’s artworks have been exhibited in prestigious museums, galleries, and institutions around the world from Tate Modern, The Saatchi Gallery, to current show at The Modern Art Museum in Shanghai.

Championed as a contemporary pop master by prominent art world figures such as Charles Saatchi and Simon de Pury, Colbert has collaborated with brands such as Adidas, Rolex, Montblanc, Christian Louboutin, and COMME des GARÇONS.

Philip has been working on the Metaverse side of his art for the past year, and has found this to be a new way for him to express his art and for others to experience it. He partnered with SuperRare to drop one his first NFTs, The Cryptofixtion, which sold for 25Ξ. Most recently, Lobsteropolis City was inaugurated as a virtual universe within the metaverse of Decentraland. Currently, he’s working on a new collection of 7,777 NFTs, The Lobstars.
