At a time when we live in a cauldron of chaos — I say — let’s dance
A funny thing about music is that whether it’s a full orchestra, an 80s heavy metal hair band, or an ensemble fit for the local pub stage, music offers sanctuary. For two to five minutes (ish), per song, we can be ostriches, sticking our heads into the proverbial sand.
Up here in Canada, forest fires wipe out uncountable acres of wildlands and communities, with the smoke choking out cities with no regard for borders. In the USA, arson is the catalyst for more flames and destruction.
The American leaders have each other in their sights, while my country’s government continues a policy of alienating long-standing allies and ingratiating itself with Hamas for future favours.
The world has lost its mind.
So, what can we do? Be like Walk the Moon; Shut Up and Dance! (You don’t need to rate this one.)
