For those in the United States, the midterm elections are coming up on November 6, 2018. It’s an exciting time when we can get involved and shape the future we want to see. But, sometimes it’s hard to get our voices heard.

That’s why we’re mobilizing our community to use the Rocketbook app to directly contact their State Senators. With #RocketTheVote, a new feature inside the app (available until November 6), users can scan and fax handwritten notes to their Senators.

#RocketTheVote: Connect, Write, Scan, and Send

Tell them how you feel about massive student debt, the harm we’re doing to the environment, or the inequality that pervades our society. All you have to do is connect one of your seven shortcut icons to a Senator, scan, and then send.

To connect an icon to a Senator, go to Destinations > Change Destinations > Fax a U.S. Senator > Pick your Senator.

iOS screens: Choose a destination and select a Senator

While it may seem like sending a note to our Senators may not move the needle in any way, it’s the process of getting involved that’s most important. Writing is a great first step to help crystallize our thoughts.

In the last midterm elections in 2014, voter turnout was close to 40% — that was the lowest turnout in 72 years. Let’s help change that. For those who can vote, we hope that you’ll take the time cast your ballot on election day. For those who can’t, we hope that you’ll make yourself heard.

Now, let’s go #RocketTheVote and make yourself heard. Try it out by first setting up an icon!
