Recalling some key moments from 2016. Take a look at what we’d been up to in 2016, the year that was…

January to March

Rocketium used to be a micro-blogging site which focused on making reading more engaging through the concept of flashcards.

March to May

We added images, videos and other features that would make the reading process better. One of the feature was a play button which soon pivoted Rocketium into a video creation platform from the micro-blogging one.

We realised how crazy the world is about videos , including us!
But we also knew how difficult it was to produce a single video. Professionals and designers would have to spend hours or even days to make a single video. That’s why we reinvented the wheel and streamlined the process of video creation.

This is what it looked like back then…

June to August

We added lots of music, animations, transitions, effects, instant video preview, built-in themes, option to add logos, intelligent image recommendations and different aspect ratio videos accessible to make the videos look more enticing and engaging. Rocketium grew into a dead-simple video creator that enables everyone to create gorgeous videos in minutes.

September to October

We got our first 1000 users who came from 20+ countries and created videos in more than 12 languages. They also gave us a lot of feedback and helped us in making the product better.

Introduced paid plans with 3 tiers: Basic, Premium and Ultimate to cater the needs of our diverse customers.

Some special features added in this period are — option to slow-mo or fast forward video clips, voiceover narration and other miscellany.

The biggest highlight of October was our Product Hunt launch. A great experience which gave us a lot of good feedback and doubled the number of signups we got everyday.

November to December

Post the PH launch, we got lots of love flowing from different publications and bloggers around the world. Some of it was from Buffer, Lifehacker, Huffington Post, Tools Per Startup and others.

Oh, we also crossed 5,000 users.

we now have…

Looking forward to better a good year. ’Cause hey, we’ve just started ;)
