The King of Rock and Roll and how he changed music

In the 1940s to 1950s, Elvis Presley changing the music world with his energized interpretations of songs and his performance styles mixed with his different show backgrounds and stages to make an totally new experience for those enjoying music live with the musician. This all started in 1954 when he started to recording at the Sun Records with the producer Sam Phillips who was trying to bring the African-American music to be enjoyed by everyone in America. This continued with new albums like “Love Me Tender” in 1956and Elvis Sings Christmas songs in 1957. These albums were all chart topping records and he became with the leading influencer for rock and roll.

All these albums brought his new playstyle with rockability to the forefront of music. The up-tempo, country music ,and rhythm and blues all mixed together influenced all the music the followed it. With Elvis’s new live performances brought a new face in how music is supposed to be listened too. He started the trend of where concerts and live performances that were so massive, people were describing them as riots. This started with the Ed Sullivan show where Elvis sang “Hound Dog” on television. After he performed in Mississippi-Alabama Fairgrounds and Dairy Show which was the showed how popular Elvis was.

These live performances later followed with different dance moves that flowed well and paired with the music that sung. The flashy costume that he created to the further invigorate his audience and performance all more flash. He became the first superstar with film cameos, more live performances. His music till today will never be forgotten and how he was the first person to reshape how music, how it should be enjoyed by all.

Theses skills and traits of what a musician carried on to today. You can see this with many of the bands that came that have came after Elvis was all dance, make sure there are live performances and try to give fans the experience they would want to experience not just from buying the vinyls they publish. This can be shown with the music that came from Britain like the Beatles or the Rolling Stones. They all performed live, many not the same vitality but fans still were able to enjoy the live performance. Outside of the performances, they all participated in going on talk shows, some made cameos in different films. Even the Eastern world with their stars, they all perform and participates in other ventures outside of just created music.
