The Rolling Stones is one of the most popular rock bands who also had a huge impact on the history of rock and roll. The rock band started in London in the 1960s. The Rolling Stones started out as a pop group and later became a classic rock band. The group members started with Mick Jagger, Brian Jones, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, and Bill Wyman. Many of the Rolling Stones songs hit the charts in the sixties. The Stones first hit the charts with their song, “It’s All Over Now,” in July of 1964. The song actually hit number one in the UK on the UK Singles Chart. The song was later a part of their second album, “12 x 5.”

Although The Rolling Stones was one of the first bands to write their own music, “It’s All Over Now,” was actually written by Bobby Womack and Shirley Womack. The song was originally sung by the group, “The Valentino’s.” The Rolling Stones first heard the song when it was played for them by New York radio DJ Murray the K. The Stones were having an interview with DJ Murray the K when they heard the song. The Stones loved the song and thought it was exactly their style. A little over a week later, The Rolling Stones recorded their own version.

The Rolling Stones is one of the most influential bands to make new traditions in the world of rock. Their influence on music changed the lives of future artists and rock music lovers. Some of the things The Rolling Stones did were create a new genre of music, write their own songs, create a vision of the “rock and roll” lifestyle, and more.

The Rolling Stones started out as a pop group. They sung blues music. But as their career went on, they went more towards the genre of rock. The Stones created a sound that combined the blues and rock sound. Another thing that The Stones did that influenced the world of rock and roll was writing their own music. In 1965 Mick Jagger and Keith Richards began doing something that their band has never done before. It was also something that was not so common in the music industry. Most of the time, The Stones performed music that was written for them. But in 1965 the two artists decided to write their own music. The first song they wrote was “I can’t get no satisfaction.” This song soon became very popular and the band decided they would continue their own music. Many of the new songs they wrote after this also became very successful. The success of their first written song influenced other artists to do the same.

Not only did the Stones shift from blues to rock, but they also created a new and exciting way of performing. During The Stones' performances, they would go crazy and had a style that the younger crowd loved. They had crazy and outgoing lyrics that no band has ever sung about. The Rolling Stones had a unique, punk lifestyle and look. Again, something new to the rock and roll world. This style of the band's music, look, and personality was loved and admired by so many. The Rolling Stones’ style being so different back in the day was why so many people were influenced by them and why it made history.
