Colorful Quebrada de Paipote

A few years ago I was lucky enough to travel to Northern Chile in winter time and among several wonderful places in the Atacama Region, the Quebrada de Paipote at sunset was a true blessing.

Imagine strolling over the a river bed of a stream that only in specific occasions might carry a thread of water, but the bed is widened by sporadic rainstorms that feed the river to relative monumental proportions.

So, as part of our Chile de a 2 project, that my wife and I have been driving for a couple of years, here’s a small sample of the photos I made that june afternoon.
