Talking to friends on Roger in a few easy steps
One of the guiding principles for our team since day 1 building Roger, is that it should be easy to start a conversation with anyone you’d like to. Wherever they are, and whether or not they are on Roger yet.
Here’s how you do it.
Step 1: scroll through your conversations at the bottom of the app until you see the add button (that little plus sign) and tap it.
Step 2: if you haven’t yet, make sure to enable access to your contacts so you can find your friend. Don’t worry, we will not spam or even store your contact list.
Step 3: either scroll through your contacts, or type a name to filter the list.
Step 4: once you find your friend, simply tap the respective row to pick them.
Step 5: when you are ready, simply tap the mic to begin talking to them.
Step 6: tap the mic button again when you are done talking.
Step 7: if your friend isn’t using Roger yet, you’ll get to send them a personal link for them to talk back, simply press the “Send” button.
That’s all! Your friend can now follow the link to join the conversation.
