The Catalyst Cyber Accelerator has launched, with seven more innovative Canadian cybersecurity businesses joining its family — businesses that are providing practical solutions to some of the most pressing tech issues of the moment.

Headquartered at the Rogers Cybersecure Catalyst at Toronto Metropolitan University, the Catalyst Cyber Accelerator offers technical, strategic advice, mentorship and business resources to cybersecurity businesses that are ready to become national and international competitors. Based in Brampton’s Innovation District, it’s the first cybersecurity-focused commercial accelerator in Canada.

ASecureCloud makes it possible for anyone to build a secure cloud environment that they can fully control. Their technology helps cloud security consultants and administrators build their own security controls using native AWS (Amazon Web Services) security services and features. ASecureCloud allows users to build secure AWS environments in minutes, choosing from a library of 600+ customizable configurations and best practices.

BDATA’s technology ensures that the data stream from loT products (drones, autonomous vehicle, pumping stations etc.) to the cloud is cryptographically encrypted and secure. They allow customers to secure and manage their IoT network with BIoT, a zero-trust technology that is secure, easy and cost-effective.

Powered by artificial intelligence, F8th is an extra security layer against insider threats, account takeovers and other major menaces. Their continuous and frictionless technology enables companies to run continuous behind-the-scenes authentication on devices, protecting data throughout the session without making its presence visible.

Niah Security builds free tools and products to ensure your code is secure even while you’re writing it. Niah fixes vulnerabilities and makes suggestions while you’re working; tracks vulnerabilities even when your code is not actively managed; and manages vulnerabilities across multiple projects and different versions.

Privacy automation is easy with Opsware. Their technology allows legal and engineering teams to embed privacy workflows across their organizations to simplify compliance with modern privacy laws — no coding required. The technology discovers data sources fast and eliminates the tedious work of building data maps and compliance records.

Billing themselves as “the agreement platform,” Paqt promises to provide the dealmaking advantage: a platform for quick agreements without compromising speed and legal security. Their technology includes professional chat, digital ID, in-chat digital signatures, micro-agreements and contract generation in one platform, with an easy-to-access archive in case of dispute.

Secure Exchanges is secure email exchange software, specializing in confidentiality when transmitting information over the Internet. Whether it’s sharing a credit card number, a confidential document or a social insurance number, their technology allows users to exchange sensitive information without worry — doing away with need for slow, expensive service providers.
