Cherries & Kiwis Grow on Rogue Farms
We planted the two fruits in our Revolution Garden last week.
Last Friday, Rogue Farms Plant Whisperer, Stacia and a few fellow Rogues got their hands dirty planting brand new experimental crops near the Revolution Garden. Stacia had picked out nine cherry trees and two Kiwi plants to take root in the fertile Willamette Valley soil.
We arranged the trees with enough space between them before digging holes.
Then we planted two Kiwi plants just inside the garden so that they grow up around the entrance sign.
Our Rogue Farms potbellied pigs, Voo and Doo would have helped dig but they were too busy napping.
We have no guarantee these plants will yield fruit in the next harvest — or even at all — but we are willing to try. That’s the risk Rogues take when growing beer and spirits.
