Don’t worry too much about the style, but keep it short and upbeat. We publish reasons why a person should watch or play. If your review is an overall negative take, it won’t be a good fit.

This isn’t school, so a personal take is preferred instead of a dominantly academic style. However, sometimes it’s hard to not slip into your ‘essay voice’. This is okay, but if this happens, editorial notes may take the form of ‘lighten this up a bit if you can’
