Editor’s Note: Jennifer and I had a lot of fights during the first road trip in 2016. Of course, I was angry during each of them and afterward as well. However, there the amount of anger those fights brought out paled in comparison to the anger I felt during this part of the 2018 trip. This was the first time in my life I ever felt something comparable to parental anger. I was so upset when the man in this story accused me of letting my dog’s paws burn that the anger lingered for at least an hour down the road. I remember the embarrassment I felt as I tried to carry Rogue out of the sand and this man came
