Hasbro Studios, Fathom Events and Shout Factory have teamed up for one night only to bring the classic animated Transformers: The Movie back to the big screen. For fans of the original cartoon series and the Hasbro toys this will be a great treat. Released in 1986, the film boasted an all star cast of voice talent with Peter Cullen, Orson Welles (yes that Orson Welles), Leonard Nimoy, Robert Stack, Judd Nelson, Casey Kasem and Frank Welker to name a few. The film was a box office dud for Hasbro Studios and prevented the theatrical releases of several other planned film versions of popular cartoons. Since it’s box office failure however, Transformers: The Movie has gained cult status and even received the anniversary treatment a couple years ago with a 30th Anniversary Edition on Blu-Ray and DVD.

The fully restored and remastered film will show in ~500 theaters across the US on September 27, 2018 at 7:00 pm. Tickets are expected to go on sale August 3, 2018. For a complete list of theaters and to book advance tickets you can visit the Fathom Events website.
