Academia should be ashamed

As reported in Inside Higher Education and based on a recent Gallup survey of 10,594 U.S. faculty and staff working at degree-granting institutions, 28% of academic women surveyed said they had been passed over for promotion or advancement opportunities due to their gender. That’s compared to 11% percent of male workers.
