This G21 was the most used Contax G series in the negative era, and I once bought a Leica MS-optical by a Japanese master. The G21 was mostly used because of the age of the negatives. The G21 has excellent colour depth, resolution and distortion control, and even at full aperture, it has a good sense of dimensionality. However, the reviews at the time were polarised, with the Biogon symmetrical optical structure being labelled, but some thought it was more of a reverse-focus design.
