During the summer season, Cascais is full of different tourists and swimmers.

Cascais is a coastal city located in the west of Portugal in the region of Lisbon, near the Bay of Cascais in the Atlantic Ocean. Since the 19th century, it has been a royal summer resort, preserving the traditional Portuguese style, where you will find cobblestone streets, luxurious villas, magnificent castles, and a vast array of restaurants and bars. Cascais is the most popular resort in Lisbon. Many of you who visit Sintra will add Cascais to your itinerary.

I think Cascais is worth staying for at least one night…slow down and take your time to feel the fun time of the sunny beach…

About Transportation

The most convenient way to get to Cascais from Lisbon is to take the Portuguese National Rail (CP), which departs from Cais do Sodré train station every 20 minutes. The journey takes about 40 minutes and ends at Cascais. It is highly recommended to take the window on the left-hand side of the train if possible. Along the way, you can see beautiful scenery, such as Belem Tower, over 20 kilometres of coastline, endless beaches, castles, etc. The train ride alone is worth seeing.
