Swirling Narrows, Muley Twist Canyon, colorful Reef and solitude.

Capitol Reef completes the series of the five National Parks in Utah. The style is quite the opposite of Canyonlands. It felt less dense in features/intensity but compensated with huge walls, vistas and this incredible view on the very long reef, bringing back reminiscences of no more less than the Grand Canyon itself.

Lower Muley Twist canyon and its huge walls and bends for more than 10 miles
After Lower Muley, going down South in the valley along the crest towards Lake Powell
Until Halls Narrows/Creek. Water is consistent there, fresh and the massive walls are one of the highlight of the trip.
At the very end of the loop in the narrows get tight and deep requiring ether swimming or scrambling
Walking back up North, in the valley this time. November colors at their best.
Temperatures in the 18F/-8C. Closing in on the Burr trail and looping back via the ridge this time.
The ridge is another very scenic part of the trip with imposing overviews and rock colors
Some “lovely” touch and high altitudes
Then going via the Upper Muley Twist canyon ridge, which is the “crux” of the trip
Step drops along from the top of the ridge
“Capitol Reef”
