Patagonia — Fitz Roy Vuelta al Cerro Huemul

The Vuelta around Mount Fitz Roy from El Chalten. A great challenging 4-day trip with difficult conditions (weather, wind, steep passes, ice, crevasses, off trail, crossings).

An interesting start as the trail from El Chalten to the Lago Electrico path start was not maintained. This was actually nothing compared to what was waiting for us..

Conditions are worsening as we make progress to the glacier.

Finally seeing the end of the Campo de Nieve (“Ice Field”)

The end of the glacier after a very step descent and going close to “Paso del Viento” that has this name for a good reason.

Paradoxically, finally seeing the Fitz Roy… from the bus leaving El Chalten.
